Blog Ouipay : Les 151 applications qui cachent un virus

La rédaction de www.ouipay.fr vous met en garde contre des applications dangereuses pour votre compte en banque.

Avast a fait un signalement contre 151 applications qui étaient téléchargeables sur le Play Store. Ces applications cachaient un virus qui cherche à vous escroquer.

Le malware UltimaSMS caché dans ces applications cherche à siphonner votre compte en banque

Celui-ci ressemble à un autre virus répandu sur Android appelé Joker. Il exploite la même méthode et tente de vider votre compte bancaire euro par euro. 

Ces applications récupèrent votre numéro de téléphone ainsi que son code d’authentification unique. Ainsi l’application vous proposera une arnaque dans votre langue pas facile à déceler.

Le virus UltimaSMS va se servir de votre numéro de téléphone pour vous inscrire à un service payant par SMS.

Ces abonnements SMS peuvent dépasser les 40 euros mensuels. Souvent, les victimes ne s’en rendent pas compte tout de suite et plusieurs mois peuvent s’écouler avant de pouvoir bloquer le service.

Nous vous donnons la liste des 151 applications du Play Store qui abritaient ce malware. Cette liste n’est malheureusement pas exhaustive. Google les a retirées de son store. Mais si vous aviez déjà téléchargé l’une d’entre elles, un virus est peut-être encore dans votre smartphone. Avast conseille de désactiver l’option SMS premium directement depuis l’espace client de votre opérateur pour vous protéger.
